South African financial services conglomerate , Discovery, is inviting applications for its IT Support Engineer Learnerships from unemployed South African graduates with a Matric / Grade 12 qualification. This learnership is a 12 months programme aimed at training learners to become qualified IT Support Technicians. It will accommodate ten (10) learners at Discovery’s office in Sandton, Gauteng. A monthly stipend will be paid to successful candidates for the duration of the internship.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Must be a South African between the ages of 18 and 30 years old;
- Be unemployed and not studying;
- Have a valid and recognised Matric / Grade 12 certificate;
- Must have passed the following subjects in Matric: English (with 50% or more), Maths Literacy (with 60% or more) OR Mathematics (with 50% or more);
- Must have passed another language other than English with at least 50%;
- Have basic computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word & Excel; and
- Have a keen interest in computer systems and customer service.
