The Petroleum, Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) is inviting applications from unemployed young South Africans who have completed a Grade 11 or N2 certificate for its 2017 apprenticeships. There are various apprenticeship trades: Rigging, Welding, Instrumentation & Fitting. Apprentices will be placed on training contracts with the PetroSA Centre of Excellence in Mosselbay, the apprenticeship will run for a period of 36 months from January 2017.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African citizenship and resident in the Eden District.
- Minimum Grade 11 with Mathematics (not mathematical literacy) and Physical Science as passed subjects, or N2 with Mathematics and Science as passed subjects.
- ADVANTAGE: Drawings and trade theory related to the trade you wish to pursue would be an added advantage.
- Fluent in English
- Physically fit to execute the work of an Artisan in the field applied for.
