Metropolitan 2017 Claims Assessing Learnerships (Only Matric required)

One of South Africa’s leading medical schemes administrators, Metropolitan Health, is inviting applications from unemployed young South Africans with Grade 12/Matric with English, Mathematics or Maths Literacy as passed subjects for its 12-months long 2017 learnership programme in Medical Claims Assessing. This learnership programme is open to people with and those without disabilities. It will run from February 2017 until January 2018.

Successful candidates will be placed in one of Metropolitan Health’s offices in Johannesburg (Braamfontein). It will be made-up of practical work and full-day classroom lessons over a period of 12-months and successful candidates will receive a Further Education and Training Certificate in Medical Claims Assessing at NQF Level 4 on completion.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for the 2016 Momentum Health Learnership Programme you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be a young (18-35 years old) South African citizen;
  • Must have passed Matric/Grade 12 with English and another South African official language, Mathematics (at least 50%/ Symbol D/ Level 4) OR Mathematical Literacy (at least 50%/ Symbol D/ Level 4);
  • Must be unemployed; be able to commit to the learnership for 12-months; and
  • ADVANTAGE: While not a strict minimum requirement, it will be an advantage if you are computer literate (particularly in Microsoft Office).
