GEMS 2017 Graduate Internships (Various)

The Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS) is inviting South African unemployed graduates who are between the ages of 18 and 35 years to apply for their 2017/2018 internship programme. The Graduate Internship Programme will run for a fixed period of twelve (12) months. All positions are primarily based at the medical scheme’s head office in Pretoria, however some internships based at GEMS’s regional offices. Interns will be paid a monthly stipend of R6 500 for the duration of the internship programme.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, applicants must be South African citizens who:

  • are unemployed and never participated in any internship programme;
  • are willing to undergo a pre-employment assessment;
  • have a minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification in any of the fields listed in the below table:
