Redpath Mining Contractors and Engineers is inviting applications for its 2017 Fitter Learnerships from unemployed young South Africans who have recently completed their N2 certificated at a registered college. The learnership programme is based at Redpath Mining’s Johannesburg operations. Successful candidates will be paid a monthly learnership allowance for the duration of the learnership. Learnership program aims to create a pipeline of young artisan talent within the mining and engineering industry and it offers individuals the opportunity to upskill themselves by offering theoretical and on the job practical experience.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a completed N2 qualification with the following passed subjects: Maths, Engineering Science, Technical Drawings and Fitting & Machining;
- Be an unemployed young South African citizen; and
- Be medically fit to work underground.
