South African pharmaceuticals and beauty retailer, Dis-Chem, are inviting applications for their 2017 Basic Pharmacy Assistant Learnerships which will be based their various pharmacies across the country. The learnerships are open to South Africans with a Grade 12 certificate, who are able to read, write and speak in English. Learners will be put through a training programme comprising practical on-the-job training and classroom lessons, at the successful completion of which learners will become qualified Basic Pharmacy Assistants.
What are the requirements?
- Be a South African citizen with a Grade 12 / Matric certificate;
- Must have passed Maths as well as Physical Science or Biology / Life Science (or both subjects);
- Must have obtained a mark of 50% or higher in each of the above subjects;
- Have good communication and customer service skills;
- Be able to read, speak and write in English;
- Be computer literate in Microsoft Office;
- Be willing to work retail hours (including on weekends); and
- Be good with team work and time management.
