In the context of the recent growth and development of the Sasfin Group, Sasfin Securities requires a graduate trainee for a period of 6 months. The successful candidate will be required to rotate through various areas of Wealth, assisting with the increasing work load while learning the Wealth business.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The graduate will rotate through the following areas of the business and assist with the following duties:
Research
- Writing reports and company profiles
- Financial Modelling
- Primary research
Portfolio Management
- Work in one of the branches and assist with admin and proposals
Financial Planning
- Assist with admin relating to the Orphan book
- Extracting data for financial planning
Various other ad hoc functions incidental to the business
SKILLS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
- BCom with postgraduate qualification (Finance Honours, Investment Management Honours, CA, Law) preferable
- Entrepreneurial with a real desire to work in wealth management A keen interest in shares and financial advice
- Commercial sense and sound business acumen
- Good work ethic in particular regarding client service
- Effective communicator with excellent verbal communication Excellent analytical skills
