South African state-owned electricity utility, Eskom, is inviting applications for its 2016 Plant Operator Learnerships to be based within its Operating department at its Kendal Power Station in Mpumalanga. Successful candidates will be trained to be Plant Operators within electricity generation environments. Learners will be paid a monthly stipend for the duration of the learnership programme.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a Matric / Grade 12 certificate or N3 with Maths and Science as passed subjects
- Must have passed English as a subject;
- Have the ability to apply Maths and Science knowledge; and
- Have a good understanding of thermodynamics (definition: the branch of science concerned with heat and temperature and their relation to energy and work. )
