Dis-Chem 2017 Internships (Various)

South African listed pharmaceutical and convenience retailer, Dis-Chem, is inviting applications from suitable young  South Africans for its internships based across several of its offices across the country. Most of the internships are based in Gauteng and the Western Cape and available for various study fields (see table below), two internship programmes for N4 TVET graduates are available in Dis-Chem’s KwaZulu-Natal stores. A monthly stipend will be paid to successful candidates for the duration of the internships.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the requirements listed in the table below:

·         National Certificate: Labour Relations Practice (Level 6 or Level 5)

·         National Certificate: Organisational Transformation and Change Management (Level 5)

·         National Diploma: Hiring Operations Management (Level 5 or higher)

·         National Diploma: Labour Relations Practice: Dispute Resolution (Level 5 or higher)

·         National Diploma: Organisational Transformation and Change Management (Level 5 or higher)

·         National Diploma: Payroll Administration Services (Level 5 or higher)

·         National Diploma: Public Relations Practice (Level 5 or higher)

 ·         South African or valid work permit

·         MIE, clear criminal and credit record

·         Valid Driver’s licence and / or reliable transport

·         Be able and willing to work retail hours

·         English – Read, write and speak well

·         Trustworthy and Honest. Have an internal willingness to assist and help others. Pay attention to detail. Be able to coordinate tasks according to urgency

Office Admin Internships (to be based in Gauteng and Western Cape) Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate with a minimum of Math Literacy 50% and have any ONE of the following qualifications:

  • National Certificate: Business Advising (Level 5)
  • National Certificate: Business Advising Operations (Level 6)
  • National Certificate: Generic Management: General Management (Level 5)
  • National Certificate: Generic Management: Strategic Management (Level 5)
  • National Certificate: Governance and Administration (Level 5)
  • National Certificate: Governance and Administration (Level 7)
  • National Certificate: Governance and Administration (Level 6)

·         National Diploma: Customer Management (Level 5)

  • English – Read, write and speak well

KZN TVET Office Admin Internships
  • Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate with a minimum of Math Literacy 50% pass
  • AND: N4 Office Administration through a TVET College
  • English – Read, write and speak well
  • Trustworthy and Honest. Have an internal willingness to assist and help others. Pay attention to detail. Be able to coordinate tasks according to urgency

  • TVET N4 Sales and Marketing Qualification
  • Knowledge of Marketing Practices and Principles
