Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) 2017/18 Internships (Various)

The Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) is inviting applications for its 2017/18 Internships and experiential learning opportunities from unemployed South African youths with either an N6 certificate, national diploma, bachelors’ degree or a postgraduate qualification in various fields of study. Internships will be based at the DMR’s Head Office in Pretoria and at all of its regional offices in the nine provinces. A monthly stipend of R3 861 will be paid for the duration of the internship programme. Interns will be appointed on a 12 months contract starting 1 September 2017, experiential learners will be employed for a period of 18 months.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, you should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be a South African youth (i.e. younger than 35 years of age);
  • Be a graduate with any of the qualifications in the table below (N6 certificate, national diploma, bachelors’ degree or a postgraduate qualification):

How to apply?

Applications must be submitted on a FULLY COMPLETED Z83 form (click here to download) or go fetch one at a government office near you), stating the field you are applying for (see fields under qualification required in the above table), reference number and province or region of your preference. The Z83 must be accompanied by a recent comprehensive CV, and originally CERTIFIED copies of your transcript of academic record, educational qualification and Identity Document not older than 3 months.

Only the stipend will be provided, interns will have to find their own accommodation and transport.
