AfriSam 2017 Learnerships (N2 required)

AfriSam South Africa Pty Ltd is one of the largest suppliers of construction-related materials, specialising in the production of Cement, Aggregate and Readymix Concrete. AfriSam invites applications for its 2017/18 Learnerships from unemployed South Africans who have completed N2 in a relevant trade, see list below. These positions are based in KwaZulu-Natal.

Under the guidance of the Maintenance Team Leaders, the successful applicants will be placed on a training programme to qualify in an artisan trade. We have opportunities for external learnerships in the following trades:

1 X Electrician

1X Boilermaker

1 X Fitter

A learnership agreement, on a fixed term basis, will be entered into between the Company and the selected candidates.  The agreement will also be registered with the MQA.

The development plan for Learnerships entails the following:

  • Off-the-job training at an identified Technical Training Centre
  • On-the-job training to ensure that learners are exposed to mechanical and electrical equipment and maintenance practices.

Experience and Qualifications:

Applicants who are technically inclined and are in possession of at least a N2 with relevant subjects for the positions advertised above are invited to apply. Applicants must also be in the possession of a valid driver€™s license.

The selection process will include assessments to establish the technical aptitude of the applicants. Upon conclusion of the assessments applicants will be selected and informed of interviews to be conducted.
