East Coast Radio, also known as ECR, is a KwaZulu-Natal commercial radio station, one of the largest regional radio stations in South Africa has a highly exciting opportunity available! We are searching for a News intern to join our vibrant and dynamic team on a 8-month internship program. A basic stipend will be paid for the duration of the programme.
•Assist in various areas of the news department.
•Learn to write/ read news stories.
•Assist in the general operations of a newsroom.
•Assist journalists in the compilation of their stories on the various platforms
•Report from the field as well as work on the news desk.
•Work within your team to promote a high performance culture

What are the requirements?
•Grade 12
•Diploma/ Degree in Journalism
•Code 08 Drivers License
•Exceptional writing skills.
•Broad general knowledge and general computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/ Outlook)
•Social media awareness
•Highly organised, deadline driven, with good time keeping skills;
•Team player, with the ability to work independently.
•Diploma/ Degree in Journalism
•Code 08 Drivers License
•Exceptional writing skills.
•Broad general knowledge and general computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/ Outlook)
•Social media awareness
