The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) is inviting application for its 2019 Bursaries from qualifying South African youth currently pursuing studies in ICT at any recognised South African tertiary institution.
The SITA ICT Bursaries will be awarded to 280 students.
Students in the following fields will be considered:
- Information Technology (Engineering; Computer Science; Engineering and Data Analytics; Robotics, etc.);
- Applied Sciences (Environmental Science; Biotechnology, etc.)
- Any other non-technology and non-science studies (such as Agriculture, Social Studies) where the core subjects are enhanced with technology studies to empower students with the ability to analyse and solve social and economic issues more effectively using Fourth Industrial Revolution methodologies and technologies.
The SITA Bursary Scheme will cover the following costs:
- Tuition Fees;
- Prescribed Study Material;
- Meal Allowance;
- Accommodation; and
- Transport.
The total cost of the bursary scheme per student per annum will be R124 400.
