MISA 2020 Technical Bursaries

The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent  (MISA) is a government component, accountable to the Minister of Cooperate Governance and Traditional Affairs  (Cogta), established in terms of Section 7 (s) (c) Schedule 3 of the technical capacity of municipalities type undertake efficient Infrastructure planning, delivery, operations and maintenance. MISA strives for excellence in developing a pipeline of Built Environment professionals in Local Government and is hereby inviting applications for bursaries from interested individuals who wish to undertake undergraduate academic studies in the following fields:

MISA 2020 –  12083 Bachelor of Science : Environmental Management 

Whilst the opportunity is not exclusively limited to individuals from previously disadvantaged communities, MISA will give preference to qualifying candidates from rural areas as well as households with a combined total annual households income of less than R120 000. Eligibility Criteria:

  • South Africans with matric certificates / completing matric in the 2019 academic year (submit matric certificate or mid-year grade 12 results).
  • Total annual household income of less than R120 000 (submit affidavit by parent(s) or guardian(s).
  • Acceptance for admission by a South African Institution of Higher Learning for the 2020 academic year (submit proof of acceptance).

To apply first download the 2020 MISA Bursaries Application Form by CLICKING HERE. All applications together with relevant documents must be submitted at [email protected] quoting the relevant reference number and required study field foe the attention of Ms. Nobuhle Latha or Ms. Thulisile Mosoeu.

Failure to submit required documents will result in the applications not being considered. No faxed, hand delivery or postal applications will be considered. 

Closing date:  04 October 2019 @ 16:30 no late applications will be considered.
