The PwC office in Bloemfontein is inviting applications from unemployed young South Africans with both a Grade 12 certificate and an N6 Financial Management certificate to apply for their 18-months Financial Management Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Opportunity.
A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
Responsibilities
At the Administrative level, you’ll support our engagement teams from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete 18 months of relevant Workplace Learning in order to qualify for the National N Diploma
Exposure to the following areas of learning is essential and will be evaluated via the logbook used for in-service training:
- Cost and Management Accounting
- Financial Accounting
- Entrepreneurship and Business Management
- Computerised Financial Systems
Other relevant workplace experience which may be required, but not limited to :
- Effective use of the telephone and fax machine
- Scheduling of appointments
- Debtors and Creditors
- Petty Cash
- Salary and Wage Journals
- Pastel bookkeeping or payroll
- Banking
- Stock cards
- Job cards
- Budgets
- Standard Costing
- Spreadsheet – Excel
- Provides services in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality, accountability and teamwork
