In line with achieving its primary goal to develop, support and maintain South Africa’s educational system, the DBE offers various Internship and Learnership opportunities to qualified South African citizens who have yet to participate or gain employment in any developmental programme. In addition, the DBE offers a monthly stipend depending on the candidate’s qualification (minimum R4237, 36 – maximum R7510, 65).
Who should apply?
In order to be considered for the DBE Internship and Learnership Programmes, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Holds an NCV or Senior Certificate, N6/higher certificate or any relevant certificate, degree or National Diploma in any of the following:

- Education Specialist in English
