Successful candidates will be joining the company’s CapaCiTi Programmes which work on what the company calls the Pay It Forward model. Those who join the programme will not need to pay any fees while undergoing the training programme. Only when the participant gets a job in a full-time employment status will need to pay the training costs in monthly installments.
Keep in mind that funds collected by the company will be used to support other aspiring South African students who wish to undergo a CapaCiTi skills training course. Trainees also receive a transportation allowance on a monthly basis for the duration of the programme.
Depending on interest and skill level, training will be divided into 1 of 3 training streams i.e. Python, Java and Software in the initial month of training. The other five months will involve training in the specialized stream (1 of 3). Upon successful completion of the technical training, trainees will get a vendor certification either from Oracle or Microsoft.
After completing the 6th month of the traineeship, trainees will then be recommended for an internship with the company’s placement partners, one of which is Younglings, another non-profit with a long working history with CiTi.
