Pernod Ricard 2022 Legal Internship

Pernod Richard is inviting Legal graduates who are confident and self-assured in their abilities to apply for its 2022 internship, the duration of the internship is 12 months. A positive, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic attitude, with a passion to learn and grow is essential. As part of the Legal team, you will support the Head of Legal in the day to day tasks and ongoing projects, and will be up-skilled to be able to produce first draft of any legal document as well as the provision of legal support and advisory to the business. Graduate must have excellent verbal and written skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word). Analytical, planning and organizing, reporting, simplifying complex legal concepts, understanding and ability to interpret legislation or legal principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drafting non-complex agreements.
  • Uploading execution documents on DocuSign.
  • Review Competition Terms and Conditions.
  • Draft letters as requested by the business.
  • Proper uploading signed agreement on our contract management system.
  • Ensure that Pernod Ricard Group mandatory provisions are included in agreements.
  • Assist business with third party vetting tool.
  • Track completion of MOOC (Code of Business Conduct).
  • Conduct legal research on various legal topics.
  • Ability to understand & interpret legal principles/ legislation applicable to the business.
  • General legal advisory and support on various issues such a validity of customer liquor licences.
  • Support on litigation matters and projects.
  • Tracking of external lawyers’ invoices & billing.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Law Degree from a Top University in South Africa.
  • A previous working experience or vacation work would be a plus but is not a requirement for this graduate programme.
