Belgotex is inviting unemployed Graduates for its internship programme based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the manufacturing process of the business through operating efficiencies, lean production, monitoring plant operations and recommend improvements. You will be required to support production managers in delivering production performance improvements. This position will be reporting into the Senior Production Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding and be able to apply technical expertise to assigned process
- Identify Initiatives to deliver significant improvements in the following areas:
- Safety
- Quality
- Operating Efficiencies (Labour, Process Lines and Cost Optimisation)
- Materials Control and efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of best practice and modern improvement techniques
- Provide an administrative role within production departments
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
