]]>The applications for 2013 year of study have now opened. To be eligible for the 2013 awards, the student must be registered at a South African university registering for a fourth academic year of study or post-graduate degree and must be studying towards a profession, which on qualification, would be eligible for PPS membership.
PPS membership is open to graduate professionals who hold at least a four-year degree or the equivalent thereof in a profession that is elligible for PPS membership, such as an Honours, Masters, M.Tech or D.Tech degree, and who are practising in the field of their study. Membership is at the discretion of the PPS Board.

The student must also be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa. Recipients of the PPS Scholarship and Bursary awards will be required to become PPS Student members at no additional cost.

]]>The Adams & Adams Bursary Scheme is aimed at supporting previously disadvantaged individuals in their third and/or fourth years of LLB study, to the value of R30,000, per annum, per individual. This amount is administered by Adams & Adams, directly to the university, for the purpose of registration & tuition fees, and if funds are still available, a contribution towards books and hostel / residence fees. The training bursary provides each bursar with an opportunity to conduct their studies at the Aviation Training Academy (ATA) in Bonaero Park.
After the successful completion of the initial course at the ATA, ATNS may offer the bursar a eighteen months fixed term contract to complete the necessary operational on the job training including additional studies at the ATA.

This bursary if for someone who is: fluent in English with no speech impediments, Confident, Goal Driven.
No experience required but aviation passion and knowledge will be advantageous.

This year’s (for 2013) bursary application process starts with an application form request on the SAIRR website, which shall be followed by submitting an application form to the SAIRR – this application form will only be issued by the SAIRR. The bursary application process starts online on 1 July 2012 and closes 31 August 2012. Please note that only application forms from the Bursary Department at the South African Institute of Race Relations will be considered. Application forms downloaded from any other websites will not be taken into account.
There are six steps to applying for a bursary from the Institute.
1. Complete the online request form (click the link above to request a form). The closing date by which to complete this form is 31st August 2012.
2. The completed online applications will be reviewed by the Institute. They will produce a short-list of potential bursary recipients.
3. The Institute will contact all short-listed applicants. Each short-listed applicant will be supplied with documents that he or she will require in order to complete the application process. Please note that if you are not contacted by the Institute by 30th September 2012 then you have not been short-listed.
4. Short-listed candidates must complete the documents they received under step 3 and return these to the Institute by 16th November 2012.
5. The Institute’s bursary selection committee will review all those final applications received before 16th November 2012 and make decisions about which students are to receive bursaries for 2013. These decisions will be taken early in 2013.
6. The Institute will notify the students who have been granted bursaries.
