The national Department of Basic Education (DBE) is inviting applications from unemployed South African graduates for its 2014/ 2015 internship programme. The internship programme is available to graduates from recognised Higher Education Institutions with a recognised tertiary qualification in any of the following fields: Asset Management, Cost Accounting, Curriculum, Economics, Communication / Public Relations (PR), Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Information Science Research, Information and Records Management, Information Technology, Internal Auditing, International Relations, Law and Public Administration.

The internship programme, which is based within DBE’s Head Office at 222 Struben Street in Pretoria in Tshwane, will run for a period of 12-months and interns will be paid a monthly stipend as per DPSA recommendations.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for this internship, graduates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an unemployed South African graduate from a recognised Higher Education Institution;
  • Have no work experience related to your field of study;
  • Have a tertiary qualification in any of the following fields: Asset Management, Cost Accounting, Curriculum, Economics, Communication / Public Relations (PR), Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Information Science Research, Information and Records Management, Information Technology, Internal Auditing, International Relations, Law and Public Administration.

The National Nuclear Regulator (NNR) invites applications from Natural Science graduates with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Natural Science or related field for their 24-months long Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material Internship.
The applicants are required to have knowledge of technical report writing, the ability to work well under pressure and knowledge of the basics of radiation protection and waste management. The internship will be based at the National Nuclear Regulator offices in Tshwane, Gauteng.

What are the requirements?

  • Have minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Natural Science or related;
  • Have knowledge of basics of radiation protection and waste management;
  • Have technical report writing skills;
  • Work well under pressure; and
  • Be a South African citizen.
