One of South Africa’s largest mining companies, Anglo American, is inviting applications from current students who will be in their 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2015 to apply for the Anglo American 2015 Bursary Programme. You have to be studying towards a tertiary qualification in any of the following: Extractive Metallurgy, Mining, Law, Engineering (any discipline relevant to mining), Risk Management (Safety), Land or Quantity Surveying, OR Sustainability or Environmental Studies.

What are the requirements?

Please make sure you meet the following minimum criteria before you apply:

Be studying towards a degree/ national diploma (be in your second or third year of study in 2015): Risk Management (Safety), Extractive Metallurgy, Law, Engineering (any discipline relevant to mining), Land or Quantity Surveying, Mining, OR Sustainability or Environmental Studies.
Be a South African;

South African mining giant, Anglo American, is inviting applications from current and prospective students for its bursary programme for the 2015 academic year offered by its Coal South Africa business. The Anglo American bursary is a comprehensive bursary and will cover tuition, residents and books among other necessities for the full duration of studies provided the bursary holder is also performing to the satisfaction of the bursary funder (Anglo American).

Which study areas are considered for the Anglo American Bursary Programme in 2015?

The following study areas will be given preference as they represent the core business of Anglo American:

Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
Industrial Engineering
Metallurgy
Survey
Environment
Rock
Mining

What are the requirements?

You have to have achieved a Grade 12/ Matric pass with Pure Maths and Physical Science with a minimum of Level 5. If you are currently in Matric, you have to be writing to achieve the aforementioned requirements

How to apply for the Anglo American Bursary for 2015?
