Toyota 2019 Apprenticeships (Only Technical Matric OR N3 required)

This is an Apprenticeship Programme where incumbents will be trained in the following trades, Tool, Jig & Die Maker/ Millwright/ Motor Mechanic & Auto Electrician disciplines.
The incumbent will be placed in an hourly position for the duration of the programme.
Permanent placement is not guaranteed at the end of the programme – all placements are vacancy driven.

What are the requirements?

Tool, Jig and Die Maker Trade:
NTC3 or Technical Matric with Maths, Engineering Science, Technical Drawing, Graphical Design and Mechanical Work.
Workshop experience in the trade related discipline (advantageous).

Millwright:
NTC3 or Technical Matric with Maths, Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory, Technical Drawing, Graphical Design.
Workshop experience in the trade related discipline (advantageous).

Motor Mechanic:
NTC3 Motor Mechanic Diesel/ Petrol or Technical Matric with Maths, Eng. Science, Motor trade Theory, Technical Drawing.
Workshop experience in the trade related discipline (advantageous).

Auto Electrician:
NTC3 Auto Electrical or Technical Matric with Maths, Eng. Science, Auto Electrical trade Theory, Technical Drawing.
Workshop experience in the trade-related discipline (advantageous).

Cape Town’s public transport bus operator, Golden Arrow Bus Services, is inviting applications for its 2019 Auto Electrician Apprenticeship from unemployed young South Africans with a Grade 12 OR an N1 with Mathematics and Science.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric with Mathematics & Science
Alternatively N1 or higher with Mathematics & Science
Good knowledge and interest in Auto Electrical work

South African communications infrastructure firm, Openserve, is inviting applications for its 2019 Apprenticeship to be based at its operations in Pinelands, Western Cape from suitably qualified, and unemployed young South Africans. Interns will be paid a monthly stipends for the duration of the apprenticeship.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

Must have a Grade 12 / Matric (with Maths and Science) OR an NCV Level 4 Certificate (preferably Electrical Infrastructure Construction stream), NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED IF YOU MEET THIS CRITERIA.

Government Printing Works is contributing towards skills development by providing unemployed youth with opportunities to be trained in the printing environment through apprenticeship programme. Applications are invited from all candidates who are between the ages of 18-35 who would like to participate in the apprenticeship programme to obtain an accredited qualification as Artisans in the trade Mechanized Soft-cover and Hard-cover Bookbinding.

Trade: MECHANIZED SOFT-COVER AND HARD-COVER BOOKBINDING (REF: GPW 19/13) (X10 POSTS)

STIPEND:R117, 621 per annum

Important note: All apprentice will be allocated a mentor and will be stationed in PRETORIA. Successful candidates will be offered a three-year contract in line with the SETA requirements to prepare them successfully for both theory and practical until they complete a trade test and receive their qualification. Shortlisted candidates must be available for the interviews and competency assessment on a date that will be determined by the Government Printing Works. All Apprentices will be required to sign an Agreement with GPW for the duration determined by GPW.

Paarl Media Gauteng Bindery Apprenticeship (Only Matric required)

Paarl Media Gauteng, a division of Novus Holdings, seeks to appoint a Bindery Apprentice to join the Bindery team. The programme will cover binding, folding, guillotine and stitching. Successful candidates will earn a monthly stipend whilst completing this programme. The programme consists of 4 – 5 months facilitated theoretical training at the Novus Academy (in Cape Town), followed by approximately 26 – 30 months core experiential training at the Johannesburg entity. This is in preparation of the respective trade tests.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

Grade 12 certificate;
ADVANTAGES: A technical foundation and previous shift experience would be advantageous;
Must be self-driven and self-motivated together with a passion for the printing industry;
