]]>Old Mutual are on the lookout for a talented and driven individual to join the ALM Unit.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for quantitative research & modelling for risk management of guaranteed products and also assist in developing investment strategy for annuity funds and other guaranteed product portfolios. The individual will initiate, and assist in developing improved risk and investment management strategies, prepare analysis and reports to assist with the ongoing review of investments and performance of investment strategies against benchmarks and targets. The individual will work with the modelling development team on implementation of quantitative models into ALM modelling framework as well as support the product development teams with the structuring of guarantees in new product developments and investment strategies.
KRA’s
· Quantitative research & modelling for risk management of guaranteed products
· Assist in developing investment strategy for annuity funds and other guaranteed product portfolios
· Initiate, and assist in developing improved risk and investment management strategies

Requirements
Qualifications:
· Post-graduate degree in Finance, Actuarial science, economics or applied mathematics
· Very strong academic record
· Very good understanding of financial markets and investment strategy
· Strong business acumen
· Superior computer proficiency at an advanced level – PowerPoint, Ms Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Perform well under pressure
· Attention to detail
· Actuarial and/or finance background is an advantage

]]>The aim of the program is to assist unemployed graduates to gain work readiness skills that will ultimately lead to them to being
employed in the Corporate world.
Opportunities exist in Actuarial Valuations &Product Development
The opportunity for the Internship Program is based at Assupol Head Office in Menlo Park, Pretoria.
Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
The internship programme is offered for a period of 12 months with a possible renewal of the internship contract based on performance.
Successful candidates will be required to sign an internship contract for the duration of the internship period
The placement of individuals for permanent positions who successfully complete the programme is solely dependent on the
availability of a suitable vacancy.
