South African geographic information systems and technology company, AfriGIS, is inviting applications from unemployed young South Africans with a Grade 12/Matric certificate to apply for their 2016/2017 Systems Development Learnerships. Learners will be given training both in the classroom and on the jobs for a period of twelve months, at the successful completion of which learners will be awarded nationally-recognised National Certificate: Information Technology (Systems Development) at NQF Level 5. Learners will be paid a monthly stipend for the 12-months duration of the learnership programme.
What are the requirements?
In order to be considered, applicants have to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be young unemployed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 years;
- Have a positive attitude towards learning and work;
- Have a vibrant personality and strong interpersonal skills;
- Must have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate with the subjects below passed with 60% or more:
- English;
- Mathematics (this subject is non-negotiable / compulsory);
- Computer Applications Technology.
