2017 Eskom Mechanical and C&I Learnerships (Only Matric OR N3 required)

South Africa’s largest power producer, Eskom, is inviting applications for its 2017 Learner Artisan Learnership opportunities at its Lethabo Power Station in northern Free State. There are 22 learnerships, 19 of which are for Mechanical Artisan learners and 3 for Control and Instrumentation (C&I). Applications are invited from young unemployed South Africans with a Grade 12/Matric certificate or an N3 certificate. A monthly stipend will be paid to successful candidates for the duration of the learnership programme.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science as passed subjects OR have an N3 certificate with Engineering Science and Mathematics;
Must have passed English;
Have the ability to apply Maths and Science knowledge;
Be able to read and study;
Have a good understanding of thermodynamics; and
Have analytical and communication skills.

Eskom Medupi Artisan 2016/2017 Learnerships (Only Matric/N3 & N5 required)

South Africa’s power producer, Eskom, is inviting applications from unemployed South African who completed a Matric OR an N3 certificate together with an N5 certificate in any of the following fields: Electrical (Heavy or Light Current), Control & Instrumentation (C&I), Mechanical, Chemical OR Civil. This learnership will accommodate 17 candidates for a period of 24 months, and learners will be paid a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme. Learners will be given on-the-job training and will be afforded an opportunity to obtain a trade test qualification in order to qualify as Artisans in their chosen fields of study.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates have to meet the following minimum requirements:

Have a Matric OR N3 with a pass of 50% or more in Mathematics and Physical Science;
Have a completed N5 certificate in a relevant trade discipline (any of these: Electrical (Heavy or Light Current), Control & Instrumentation (C&I), Mechanical, Chemical OR Civil);
While NOT a minimum requirement, it will be to your advantage if you have an N6 qualification.

Well, Eskom is inviting you to apply for artisan learnerships which are available at its Kendal Power Station in Mpumalanga for 2016. Learner artisans will be paid a monthly learnership allowance for the duration of the learnership.

What are the requirements?

To be considered, you have to meet the following requirements:

You should have a Grade 12 or N3 with Physical Science and Mathematics; and
English as a second language (passed with at least 50%).

Have you got a Grade 10 or Grade 12 qualification plus an N2/N3/N4 OR NCV qualification in any of the below listed areas? Well you have a chance to become a Learner Artisan in either Rigging, Bricklaying, Electrical Heavy Current, or Welding at Eskom’s Koeberg nuclear power station outside Cape Town.
