Standard Bank 2016/17 CIB Operations Learnerships (Minimum: Matric)

South African financial services and banking giant, Standard Bank, is inviting applications for its 2016/2017 Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Operations Learnerships from unemployed South African youth with a Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Learners will be placed on 12-months learnership contracts and will receive a monthly learnership allowance of R6000. Successful candidates will be equipped with on-the-job training as well as classroom-based training, and will, on successful completion of the learnership be awarded a National Certificate in Banking at NQF Level 5.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, applicants have to meet the following requirements:

Be a young South African of between 18-30 years of age with a Matric certificate;
Be computer literate;
Be unemployed, not currently studying or involved in another learnership;
Be able to read, write and speak in English;
While NOT strict minimum requirements, the following will serve as ADVANTAGES:
- Any of these as matric subjects: Mathematics; Maths Literacy; Accounting OR Business Studies; OR
- Have completed a 3 year Financial/Accounting/Operations/Process Engineering Qualification/Degree.

FNB Hogan Academy Training Programme (Minimum: Matric OR any tertiary qualification)

FNB Hogan Academy Training Program is inviting applications for its various training areas including the Test Analyst, Cobol Programming, IT Banking Learnership Programme. The requirements range from a Matric/Grade 12 qualification, to Information Technology / Information Systems qualifications and all other tertiary qualifications. The FNB Hogan Academy Training programme is therefore open to people with Matric only, and those with a degree in any field including IT / IS.

What are the requirements?

At least a Level 5 or C for pure Mathematics and English in matric;
OR recent Information Technology /Information Systems graduate;
OR recent graduates of other non-IT degrees who wish to pursue an IT career;
Applicants must have a SA Citizenship, must have no bad credit rating and no criminal record;
Applicants must have matriculated in the last 8 years;
Applicants must be willing to undergo screening assessments in Gauteng at their own expense;
Applicants must be willing to relocate to study and stay in the Gauteng Province at their own expense.
