BHP Billiton is inviting applications from young South Africans with a Grade 12 OR N3 qualification with Mathematics and Science OR, preferably, an N2 qualification in either fitting or electrical engineering / electricity to apply for their 2015 Apprenticeships currently available within its Aluminum South Africa business unit in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The apprentices will be based in Richards Bay for the duration of the programme and will receive a monthly stipend.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for this opportunity, you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

Have a Grade 12/Matric qualification with Maths and Science or N3 qualification;
NOT a minimum requirement but an N2 qualification with electrical or fitting exposure will be preferred;
Be a South African citizen;
NOT a minimum requirement but a Code 08/B Driving License will be an advantage.

BHP Billiton in Witbank, Mpumalanga is inviting applications from young South Africans with a Matric OR N3 technical qualification to apply for their BHP Billiton BECSA Maintenance Learnership opportunities currently available at its Khutala Colliery. Candidates are required to have passed Maths and Science in their Grade 12 or N3 technical studies. Successful candidates will be trained – both theoretically and practically – to qualify as artisans in any of the following trade fields: Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, Diesel Mechanics, Electricians, Fitters, and Instrumentation Technicians.

What are the requirements?

Please make sure you meet the following minimum requirements before attempting to apply:

Have a Matric / Grade 12 qualification with pure Maths and Science, OR N3 technical qualification;
Have knowledge of safety regulations and rules;
Have physical coordination skills;
Advantage: Computer skills;
