Cenfri – Business Development Internship

The successful candidates will be providing support with Cenfri’s current business development endeavors as well as taking part with designing long-term business growth plans for the organization.

The duties and responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to:

Provide reports on key activities
Review terms of document reference
Gain insights in the decision making process
Coordinate business pipeline data for the management team
Scan and monitor client and market intelligence information

What are the requirements?

Cenfri needs applications that meet its minimum eligibility requirements, and these are:

Must be in the process of completing a Master’s or MBA degree in Economics or related areas of study such as Development, Statistics, Finance, Law or Political Science
Interested in acquiring work experience while completing studies
Knowledge of donor procurement and environment as well as some background in business development is a definite advantage
Exceptional written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of additional languages e.g. French, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
Superb presentation and writing skills
Good entrepreneurial acumen
Genuine interest in research driven tasks
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Keen interest in financial sector development and development economics

Cenfri Research Internship (Various)

Cenfri is looking for curious individuals with a passion for real world development to join the team as interns. The role of the intern would be to support research teams where needed, including, desktop-based research; data analysis; copy-editing, structuring of information and data into a clear and usable format; contributing to project outcomes and findings through critical analysis; and report writing. If you are currently completing an Honours or Master’s degree in Economics or related fields (finance, development, statistics, politics, and law) and are interested in obtaining work experience while studying, you are strongly encouraged to apply.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

Advanced English language skills (verbal and written) with additional languages such as Spanish, French and/or Portuguese an advantage;
Good writing and presentation skills;
Proficiency in MS office applications;
Demonstrated interest in the field of development economics and financial sector development;
Good quantitative and analytical skills;
A strong interest in research-related activities
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The internship will consist of a two-week trial period, after which a longer-term contract can be negotiated and structured to fit around any academic constraints.
