The Elias Motsoaledi Municipality in the Sekhukhune District of Limpopo is inviting applications for its 2016/2017 Integrated Development Programme (IDP) Internship (Ref No.: HR01/642/14) from suitably qualified South African graduates with a Degree or a National Diploma in Municipal Administration OR Public Administration OR Development Studies as well as a Grade 12 certificate. The internship contract is for a period of 12-months and will pay an annual stipend of R48 000 (about R4 000 monthly). Applications are invited from all South Africans, however preference will be first given to residents of Elias Motsoaledi Municipality.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, applicants have to meet the following minimum requirements:

Be a young South African graduate with a Degree or a National Diploma in Municipal Administration OR Public Administration OR Development Studies ;
Have a Grade 12 Certificate / Matric certificate.

What will I be doing, if I get appointed?

Your duties will include: Take part in the review and compilation processes of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP), participate in implementing and monitoring of the plan; coordinate stakeholder participation in the process of compiling and reviewing the IDP; coordinate the compilation of plans for all sectors; Liaise with different spheres of government and other stakeholders on IDP matters; and ensure that programmes and projects of the IDP meets deadlines.
