Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions is inviting applications from unemployed South Africans who passed Grade 10 and possess a valid driver’s license as well as a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for its 2016 / 2017 driver learnerships which will be based in Gauteng, Western Cape and North West. The learnership will include class attendance and practical on the job training. Learners will be paid a monthly learnership allowance for the duration of the learnerships.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered for the 2016/17 Unitrans Learnerships, you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Have a valid and unendorsed Code EC driver’s license;
  • Have a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP);
  • Must be between the ages of 24 and 35 years;
  • Must have passed Grade 10 or higher;
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English;
  • Have NO criminal record;
  • Be in good health;
  • Be able to count (numeracy); and
  • Be willing to work on weekends and public holidays.

South African long distance bus operator, Autopax, is inviting applications for its 2016 Female Driver Learnerships based at its Pretoria & Johannesburg operations from unemployed South African female candidates with a Grade 12 and a valid code 10 driver’s license. Learners will receive a monthly allowance for the duration of the learnership programme. Learners will be trained to become qualified Code EC (14) Drivers of Heavy Motor Vehicles (such as buses).

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must have a Grade 12 qualification and be fully literate and able to communicate in English;
  • Be between the ages of 25 and 35 years;
  • Have a valid code 10 (Code C OR C1) driving license;
  • Be an unemployed female;
  • Have some driving experience (e.g. neighbour’s car, friend’s car, etc).

Sasol is inviting young South African females to apply for it’s Dangerous Goods Driver Learnership become a qualified driver at Sasol Oil.

All learners who successfully complete the learnership will be awarded the National certificate in professional driving-NQF Level 3, SAQA ID 50285.

Challenging opportunities exist for learners to be trained and developed into qualified drivers according to the requirements of the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA) for a Code EC Dangerous Goods Driver.You will be trained in core skills as well as the applicable safety standards related to the specific trade.

The duration of the training will be for +/- 3 months situated in Sasolburg.

Requirements

*Female * Age 25-35 *Successful psychomotor and applicable medical evaluation *Grade 12/Full N3 certificate with English/Business English passed at least on SG *Drivers licence at least code EC1, C, C1 ( preference will be given to Code EC licence holders) *Must be resident in Sasolburg/Secunda/Alrode/Pretoria areas * Good communication skills *Proficient in English
