What are the requirements?

• Be a South African student in their Fourth/Final Year of study towards a BPharm degree;
• Be registered as a Pharmacy Student with the South African Pharmacy Council;
• ADVANTAGE: Please note that preference will be given to Eastern Cape Department of Health bursary holders.

Internships will be based at the following hospitals, indicate your preference on the Application Choice Form below (apply to the address indicated, NOT to hospitals)

Applicants are required to submit their application comprising the following to the office of the Head of Pharmaceutical Services – see address below: (NOT to hospitals).

Submit the following to apply:

• A duly completed Z83 Form – CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD;
• Filled-in Application Choice Form – CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD;
• A motivational letter for Hospital Pharmacy;
• Detailed CV;
• Certified copies of the following:
  • ID Document / Passport;
  • Grade 12/Matric certificate;
  • Transcript of Academic Record;
  • SAPC Registration Certificate (Pharmacy Student);
• Proof of Registration at University for the 2020 academic year;
• Proof of Residence

Due to the COVID pandemic and Level 4 Regulations gazetted by the National Government, the Eastern Cape of Department will allow applications for Pharmacy Internship to be directed via hand delivery to the relevant Centre or emailed to: [email protected]. On the subject line, quote Pharmacy Internship Programme 2021.

• If an applicant sends their applications via email, please keep the original application safe as it will be required.
