Hyundai Parts Distribution Centre in Germiston, Gauteng has an internship position for a BCom Economics graduate.
Interns are recruited annually from various tertiary institutions for participation in a structured Internship Programme. The rationale behind the programme is to increase skills within the company as well as the industry. This programme also addresses succession planning and transformation objectives. This is a generic structured programme that assist companies to expose and develop the interns. The internship programme is a 12 month programme and permanent employment upon the completion of the programme cannot be guaranteed.

o This Intern would be expected to assist in the collation and analysis of data from multiple sources. They should have the ability to analyze data and turn this into information able to be shared amongst peers and dealers.
o The Intern would accompany the BDM’s on local (Gauteng) dealership visits and assist in business management at dealer level covering all aspects of sales and operations within the dealership environment.
o The Intern would also be expected to assist with the management, planning and operations of dealer-specific events and meetings and attend such meetings with the ability to contribute and to perform any administrative tasks associated with these meetings and events.

South Africa’s Competition Commission, which is a an independent commission of the Department of Economic Development, is inviting applications for its 2016 Law and Economics Internships from unemployed South Africans with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or an Honours degree in Economics. Successful candidates will be based in Pretoria for the duration of the internship contract and will receive an annual stipend of R143 130.30 (equating to R11 927.53 per month).

The South African Reserve Bank (the Bank) actively contributes to the continued development of talented graduates through its Cadet Graduate Programme.

The Cadet Graduate Programme equips successful applicants with the required knowledge of, and skills in, the functioning of the financial sector in general and, specifically, the role of the central bank in the economy. Ultimately, successful graduates will be awarded the Programme in International and Central Banking qualification.

All participants will be stationed at the Bank’s Head Office in Pretoria, starting mid-January to December 2014. During this period they will receive intensive work-based learning facilitated by the South African Reserve Bank College (SARB College). Participants will receive a competitive contract salary for the duration of the programme and an option to join the Bank’s medical aid scheme.

Requirements?

If you are a South African citizen with a degree in the areas of economics, money and banking, accounting, econometrics, business statistics, mathematical sciences, risk management, finance or commercial law, successfully completed during the past two years or are about to complete it by the end of 2013, you are welcome to apply.

Job Specification…

A merchandise planner is responsible for planning and managing how money is spent when buying merchandise (product) in a retail environment. The planner works closely with the buyer to develop a strategy for what merchandise they will buy and translates this strategy into numbers.

The Planner is also responsible for controlling the budget and managing the supply chain, making sure that the suppliers deliver the right merchandise at the right price. Coupled with this the planners role is to analyse how past merchandise buys have performed across the various stores and also analyst the current market customer profile.
It is very analytical role that requires great numerical skills.

Please note that this Internship will take place at our Head Office in Durban so any students keen to apply who reside outside of Durban would need to cover their own travel costs etc.
