]]>The purpose of the bursary scheme is to provide financial assistance for the education, training and skills development of historically disadvantaged South Africans who are considering a career in Health Sciences and related professions. The Bursary scheme is committed to achieving the Employment Equity imperatives within the National Skills Development Strategy and the strategic priorities of the Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development.
The Bursary Scheme promotes career development within identified scarce skills and professions in the Gauteng Department of Health. Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to be part of a dedicated and skilled workforce committed to health for a better life for the population of Gauteng and all South Africans.

Applicants are required to complete the GPDID Bursary Application form (together with documents listed below) and hand delivers it at 78 Fox Street, Standard Bank Building, 3rd floor, Human Resource Development Unit, Johannesburg.
The form should be accompanied by: a certified copy of an applicant’s Identity Document (ID), all educational qualifications, grade 12 certificate, or a copy of your academic record which confirms completion. Applications received after the closing date (17 October 2013) and those that do not comply with the requirements will not be considered.
