Intel has a position of Technology Channel Intel at it Woodmead office in South Africa. Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals in their final year in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Electronic) or Marketing with a focus on Consumer. This is a fixed-term Internship position of up to 12 months in duration, candidates must be working towards a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

The successful candidate’s role will include:

  • Supporting and creating consumer sales and marketing programs for / with Technology Reseller / Retailers / Distributors and Local OEM’s.
  • Supporting the team in the coordination and management of customer sales and marketing events.
  • Periodical adaptation of global assets, tools and activities to local market.
  • Managing distribution, maintenance of reseller assets, PoPs, tools to Retail / Distribution purchase points and reporting.
  • Designing Presentations in support of marketing and sales efforts.
  • Utilizing media editing skills in support of marketing and sales personnel.

Qualifications

You must be a student currently pursuing a university degree in your final year in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Electronic) or Marketing with a focus on Consumer. Pursuing Masters in Marketing or pursuing MBA is a Plus.

Additional qualifications should include:

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English is required. Other languages would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, consumer, retail and ability to work and collaborate with global/local partnerships to building integrated sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft* Office* skills.
  • Photo and Video Editing Skills will be preferred…
  • A team player.
  • Demonstrated project management experience would be an added advantage.
  • Team player in a distributed/dispersed structure, initiative taking and self-motivated to work with little supervision.
  • Some broad IT background or technical familiarity with the current/emerging technologies.
  • Enthusiastic about learning

A 12 month internship available to a student currently working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a related field or department. The intern will be working within the Corporate Affairs Team and will support the team with Corporate Affairs programs and projects, including doing background research and data gathering, planning programs launch, as well as capturing and sharing success stories. She/he provide technical support and report to the Corporate Affairs Manager for the South and Sub-Sahara Africa.
Additionally:
  • Desktop research on emerging and prevailing ICT in education trends (national, Regional and global)
  • ICT sector data analysis and interpretation for planning and strategic input
  • Education sector stakeholder and key initiativesĀ mapping
  • Internal stakeholder mapping and project alignment
  • Entrepreneurship programs and trends analysis (both data and programs)
  • Identify impact measurement criteria for Corporate Affairs programs
  • Track and report on CAG initiatives
  • Support CAG team in launching new programs and research
Qualifications
A current university student with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask. Being enrolled in the ICT, business administration, or development studies fields is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, energetic and trustworthy individual. She/he must be a team player, have tolerance for ambiguity and have strong written and oral communication skills. She/he must be organized, able to analyze complex information, and identify critical stakeholders and possible solutions to implement the company and community’s priorities.
