The National Cleaner Production Centre of SA (NCPC-SA) is the dti’s key industrial sustainability programme, tasked with contributing to a competitive green economy and strengthening market access for SA industry. This is done by transferring resource efficiency and cleaner production (RECP) technologies and services to industry, aimed at achieving measurable economic, environmental and social benefits.
The NCPC-SA’s Internship Programme offers graduate and postgraduate students in the field of engineering (various disciplines), the opportunity to become part of this initiative and programme and gain valuable in-plant experience by assisting companies in addressing competitive challenges, production weaknesses and skills gaps. The in-plant company placements will be preceded by a ten-day intensive training programme and a qualified mentor will be assigned to support a group of successful applicants. Placement will be from 1 April 2013. These positions are based in Durban.
Requirements:
A 3-year National Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, Bachelor of Technology, Honours or Master’s qualification in any engineering field.
