The M&G’s official internship programme runs for 12 months starting in April 2013. Our internships are fulltime positions, based at the M&G Media Ltd offices in Rosebank, Johannesburg. During this time, trainees will work for both the M&G newspaper and the M&G Online.

Prospective candidates should have strong news instincts, an excellent general knowledge and a better-than-average grasp of the English language, and should be dynamic, confident and reliable. A driver’s licence is a must.

Support in creation of master data

Support in maintenance of master data

Support in monthly analysis of cost against budget

Support in follow up of corrections and corrective actions in respect of cost variances

Support in preparation of monthly KPI analysis

Support in rolling out financial processes and maintaining process documentation as necessary

Develop understanding of Ericsson Financial structure and complexities of matrix organization in multinational organization

Your background

Recently graduated or about to graduate (in the next two months) from a South African University with a degree in Finance or Accounting

Strong interest in working in the area of business finance

Excellent attention to detail

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High customer service orientation

Very good knowledge of and proficiency in MS Excel and general MS Office
