Interstate Bus Lines in Bloemfontein, North West is inviting applications from South African candidates with either a Matric/Grade 12 with Technical subjects OR an N2 in Mechanical Engineering with exposure to a technical environment to apply for their apprenticeship opportunities. The apprenticeship will be a 3-year contract in which apprentices will be groomed to become Diesel Mechanics; apprentices will be based in Interstate’s Technical Department.
What are the requirements?
- You have to meet the following requirements to qualify:
- Have a Technical Matric/Grade OR an N2 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or higher;
- Have ability to complete courses necessary to qualify as a Diesel Mechanic;
- Have ability to become successful in a mechanical environment;
- Have one or more years of exposure to a technical environment;
- Be self-disciplined; have ability to function independently and be a team worker;
- Show potential to qualify as a Diesel Mechanic; and
- While not a minimum requirement, it will be an advantage to have a Code 8 (code B) driver’s license.
