The Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI) is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with opportunities to gain work experience to complement their studies or immediately after completing their studies. Applications are invited for two Internships positions from promising graduates. The Internship programme will run for a period of twenty-four (24) months with no option for extension. These positions are based in Arcadia in Pretoria. Candidates who previously participated in an internship programme in any Government Department will NOT be considered. The successful candidates must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy/confidentiality with the CPSI. Applicants will be expected to avail themselves for selection interviews and assessment at the time, date and place as determined by the CPSI. All appointments are subject to the verification of educational verification of qualifications, previous experience, citizenship, reference checks and security vetting.

Duties and responsibilities:

An undergraduate degree in law. The successful Intern will be exposed to the drafting of legal opinions, litigation matters; contracts and the drafting, processing and the interpretation of legislation related to the public administration.

What are the requirements?

To be considered, applicant should meet the following minimum requirements:

An undergraduate degree in law

Competencies:

Office management; computer literacy; interpersonal skills; time management; teamwork; competencies focusing specifically on the public service and communication skills.

The Coega Development Corporation is inviting applications from unemployed young South Africans with a completed LLB degree for its Legal Services Intern position which will be based at its Head Office in Port Elizabeth. The internship programme will last a period of 18-months, and the successful candidate will be paid a monthly stipend for this duration. Please note: This internship position is only open to residents of the Eastern Cape.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered for this internship, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen younger the 35-years of age, resident in the Eastern Cape province;

The Office of the Chief Justice of the Republic of South Africa (OCJ), Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, is inviting applications from young unemployed South Africans who have graduated in various tertiary study fields and those with only a Grade 12/Matric or an ABET certificate to apply for their 2015/2016 Internships. These opportunities will be based at the premises of the Office of the Chief Justice in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Except for interns with only a Matric or ABET qualification, interns will receive a monthly stipend of R3500 for the duration of the internship. Interns with Matric or ABET only will receive a monthly stipend of R3000.

The Incumbent will be responsible for:

During the internship programme you will be accommodated in a functional business area. Often you will shadow senior or more experienced members of staff, receiving one to one guidance as you progress. Training can also include on-the-job training, in-house training or a series of short external courses.

The applicant should meet these requirements:

  • Newly qualified graduates with a degree in either: Business Administration; BCom Accounting, Legal, Human Resources or Communications
  • Currently unemployed graduates
  • You should not have previously completed an internship
  • A keen interested in the financial services and/or medical industry
  • Excellent administrative and co-ordination skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Computer Literacy
