]]>If you’ve answered yes to all the above, the Mail & Guardian, which prides itself on impactful journalism, excellence and innovation, would like to meet you. Applications are open for our six-month journalism internship programme for 2014.
If you are successful you will work with and learn from the M&G’s team of award-winning journalists and editors from July 2014 to December 2014, be based in Johannesburg and receive a modest monthly stipend during the internship.
PS: You must have a driving license and no technophobes please.

If you are a student fresh out of university, tech or college and looking to start your career in journalism, then this is the ideal platform for you to do so.

The M&G’s official internship programme runs for 12 months starting in April 2013. Our internships are fulltime positions, based at the M&G Media Ltd offices in Rosebank, Johannesburg. During this time, trainees will work for both the M&G newspaper and the M&G Online.
Prospective candidates should have strong news instincts, an excellent general knowledge and a better-than-average grasp of the English language, and should be dynamic, confident and reliable. A driver’s licence is a must.
