Leading construction and engineering firm, SNC-Lavalin, is inviting applications for its 2016 Human Resources Internships from unemployed South Africans with an N6 qualification in Human Resources. The internship programme will run for a period of twelve months. Applicants should have working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. South African tissue manufacturer Nampak Tissue is inviting applications from South Africans with either an an N5, OR N6, OR Diploma OR B.Tech qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Successful candidates will be placed at Nampak Tissue in Bellville, Western Cape for a period of three (3) years. Trainees will be paid a stipend for the duration of the contract. There are six (6) positions available. The trainees will report to the Technical Trainer.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for one of these trainee opportunities you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • You must have completed a Mechanical Engineering qualification at any of the following levels:
    • N5
    • N6
    • Diploma
    • B.Tech
  • Be supportive of safety standards
  • Be willing to work shifts and overtime, as and when required
  • Be a good problem solver

The National Department of Human Settlements is contributing towards skills development by providing opportunities to unemployed graduates to gain work experience in various skills areas. The Department is therefore inviting applications for the Internship Programme that runs for a period of twelve (12) months.
