]]>NMISA has an internship programme for qualified individuals to receive training within the NMISA Finance Division. Ensure compliance to Treasury Regulations and the PFMA, by fulfilling the below roles according to policies and procedures. Knowledge of GRAP, PFMA and its related regulations and ACCPAC.
Salary Range (differentiated according to the level of qualification): R 6 070.00 – R 8 050.00 per month
The NMISA is a Type 3A Public Entity established in accordance with the Measurement Unit and Measurement Standards Act, No. 18 of 2006 (the Act). The NMISA is mandated by the Act to provide for the use of the international system of units (the SI) and other measurement units in South Africa, to maintain national measurement standards (NMS) and to determine and ensure the comparability of the NMS.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is self-motivated and very detail conscious, dependable and will act in an understanding and helpful manner while performing tasks associated with the position. ]]>Internship: Communications, Marketing and Branding (12 Months) vacancy is available within the National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) for a Public Relations/ Marketing/ Communications graduate. The successful candidate will be exposed to and gain experience in all aspects of our Marketing and Communications functions in the Info Comms Section.
The National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) is mandated by the Measurement Units and National Measurement Standards Act, No 18 of 2006, under the auspices of the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) to maintain, develop and disseminate the National Measurement Standards for South Africa. In essence, the NMISA provides the international link to traceability for all measurements in South Africa and hence contributes to South Africa’s global competitiveness.
Measurements include, amongst others, electrical measurements (voltage; capacitance; resistance etc.); chemical measurements (amount of substance; certification of reference materials, etc.); optical measurements (refractive index; optical power; laser wavelength, etc.) and mechanical measurements (force; mass; pressure; torque).
