The City of Johannesburg’s municipality-owned water agency, Johannesburg Water, is inviting applications for its 2016 Internships within its Communications department from graduates holding 3-year qualifications in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Journalism, Public Relations or Communication. Interns will be placed on a 1-year internship contract and will be paid a monthly stipend for the duration of the internship programme.

The Department of Water and Sanitation’s Water Policy Chief Directorate is inviting applications for its internships from young South Africans with a degree or national diploma in Public Administration or Public Management. The internship will be for a period of 12 months and interns will be paid a monthly an annual stipend of R131 658 (R10 971.50 per month, before deductions). These internships are based in Pretoria.

Your duties will include: Assist with arrangement of meetings and taking minutes; Provide administrative support to personnel in the Directorate; Compile related monthly reports and maintain the leave register; Assist with the implementation of administrative procedures for the directorate including financial and procurement.

What are the requirements?

  • National Diploma or Degree in Public Management/Administration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
  • A valid driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

The National Department of Tourism is currently inviting graduates in a number of fields (see below) to apply for its internship programme for the years 2013 and 2014. The internship will run from 1 April 2013 until 31 March 2014.

The Department of Tourism offers Internship opportunities to unemployed South African graduates who wish to apply in the fields that are in line with the departmental core business and who have not been previously employed under any internship program.
