SAB Miller 2013 Packaging Learnerships

South African Breweries (SAB) wants to provide 15 individuals with an opportunity to enrol for a National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging NQF 3. They will enter into a one-year, fixed term contract with Rosslyn Brewery, during which they will undergo both on-the-job and off-the-job learning, culminating in a national qualification.

Competence Requirements

Qualifications/ Experience:
-Minimum Matric with Maths & English.
-Technical Courses (N2, N3, N4, N5 or N6) will be an added advantage.
-Experience in a food and beverage packaging line will be an advantage.Competencies:
-Self motivated.
-Attention to detail.
-Ability to interact well in teams.
-Ability to work effectively in teams.

Output and Accountabilities

The Learnership is a structured learning programme that combines on-the-job learning as well as off-the-job learning in an integrated programme. The off-the- job component covers more theoretical aspects of the learning with work-based learning providing the opportunity for application of the theory and the further practical learning experiences required.Further characteristics of a Learnership are:

1. A Learnership leads to a national qualification registered on the (NQF) Qualification Framework.
2. The qualification is based on SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) registered unit standards.
3. The unit standards are written to reflect value adding skills required in the workplace and contains the outcomes and assessment criteria.
4. Competence is demonstrated in the workplace utilising a variety of assessment methods and using the assessment criteria as the standard of performance.

SAB Sales Learnership 2013

The purpose of the SABMiller Sales Learnership is to provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to enrol for a Further Education and Training Certificate (NQF 4) with the Food and Beverages SETA. They will enter into a fixed term contract for the duration of 12 months with Cape Region and will complete a learnership programme comprising of a blend of formal training and structured work experience supported by coaching and mentorship.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

A Grade 12 qualification is essential
Valid South African driver’s licence
Proficiency in English and isiXHOSA
Basic computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft Office
Basic financial literacy and business acumen
Local area knowledge is a requirement

Output and Accountabilities

Complete Sales Learnership Programme. The Learnership is a structured integrated learning programme that combines theoretical (formal) training and on-the-job learning (structured work experience).
Provide support on sales deliverables and targets during peak business periods and when sales teams are on leave.

SAB Food and beverages Learnership 2013

To provide an individual with an opportunity to enrol for a Further Education and Training Certificate (NQF 4) with the Food and Beverages SETA. You will enter into a fixed term contract for the duration of 12 months with Cape Region- Perseverance and will complete a learnership programme comprising of a blend of formal training and structured work experience supported by coaching and mentorship.
