South African Breweries’ (SAB) Alrode Brewery in Alberton, Gauteng is currently inviting applications for placement on their one-year-long Learnership Programme in Packaging. The packaging learnerships are targeted at young South Africans with a Matric/Grade 12 qualification with Maths and English as passed subjects.

The SAB Alrode Brewery Packaging Learnership offers both on-the-job and off-the-job training for a period of approximately 12-months, at the successful completion of which learners will be awarded with a National Certificate at NQF level 3 – the National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging. This learnership will be based in Alberton, Gauteng.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for these learnership opportunities, you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

Have a Grade 12/Matric qualification with Maths and English as passed subjects;
NO experience is required;
While NOT a minimum requirement; a technical courses at N2, N3, N4, N5, or N6 level will be an added advantage.

SABMiller Phoenix Packaging Learnerships 2016 (Only Matric required)

South African Breweries (SABMiller) is inviting applications for its 2016 packaging learnerships at its ABI Premier (ABI KZN Manufacturing) at Phoenix Industrial Park. Applications are invited from unemployed South Africans with a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. Successful learners will be trained both theoretically and on the job for a period of 12 months, on successful completion learners will receive a nationally recognised National Certificate: Food and Beverages Packaging at NQF Level 3. Learners will be paid a monthly learnership allowance for the duration of the learnership programme.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, applicants have to:

Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate;
Must have passed with at least 40% in Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy) and Physical Science;
Pay attention to detail and work safely;
Be able to interact with others and work in teams;
Have basic problem-solving;
Be self motivated; and
Have ability to work on a production line and climb on to machines.
ADVANTAGE: While not a minimum requirement, it will be to your advantage if you have an NTC 2 /3 certificate

South African Breweries’ (SAB) ABI Pretoria Manufacturing unit in Hercules, Pretoria is currently inviting applications for placement on their one-year long 2016 Packaging Learnerships.
