The individual will be exposed to training and office administration whilst being part of an administrative team at Sanlam Personal Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide administration support to Management Team
Provide support to the Financial Advisers and or Brokers
Co-ordinate and manage events
Monitor new business received
Monitor outstanding premiums
Account Payments

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent
Business related National Diploma or Degree (Marketing, Legal, Financial Planning, Human Resources)
Preferably no or very limited previous working experience

Sanlam invites applications for their 12-months HR Administrative Assistant Intern: Group Human Resources position based at their Bellville, Cape Town. Under general supervision, performs a limited variety of clerical duties for functional groups involving compiling and arranging data, making standard computations, processing and coding documents and maintaining records and files. Routines are generally prescribed, and supervision is readily available.

The Sanlam CA Training Programme is guided by SAICA regulations, which requires practical experience to obtain competence in technical and professional skills over three years. The technical competencies include Accounting & External Reporting, Financial Management, Management Decision Making & Control, Taxation, Risk Management & Governance, and Auditing & Assurance. The professional competencies include Professional Conduct, Management & Leadership, Personal Attributes, and Information Technology. With the Sanlam CA Training Programme, trainees are placed on rotations at Group level and within the clusters to obtain the relevant exposure to achieve the prescribed SAICA competencies.

What will make you successful in this role?

Complete the formal educational programme which includes practical experience and training (from Sanlam as a Training Office) as prescribed by the South African Institute of Chartered Accounts (SAICA), in order to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA).
Assist with the annual reporting process.
Assist with ad-hoc projects.

Qualification and Experience
