SASOL Learner Inspector Learnerhsips 2014 (Minimum required: Matric)

South African chemical and energy conglomerate, SASOL, is inviting applications for its 2014 Learner Inspector Learnerships which are currently vacant at its Secunda, Mpumalanga operation. The learnerships are open to people with a Matric qualification with Maths, Science and English OR S4 qualification. Successful learners will be placed in a SASOL learnership programme and be trained on safety standards related to the inspection of SASOL plants. Learners will be trained and developed as qualified CPs (Competent Persons) or IPE (Inspectors of Pressurised Equipment) Inspectors over three years.

What are the requirements?

Grade 12/ Matric Certificate with a minimum of “4” achievement level in Maths and Science, and “3” in Science;

tertiary (S4) qualification in either Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Welding.

Do you an N3 qualification or a Matric (Grade 12) certificate? Sasol is looking for learners to enter its learnership programme in various fields including: Boilermaker, Rigger, Instrument, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welder and Turner.

What are the requirements?

To be considered you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

You must have a Matric / Grade 12 OR an N3 qualification with standard grade Mathematics as a passed subject (NOT Maths Literacy, Applied Maths, Additional Maths, Commercial Maths or Functional Maths);
Must have also passed Physical/ Engineering Science; and
Must have passed English or Business English.

How to apply?

To apply for this learnership you have to use SASOL’s SMS System ONLY. To apply SMS the word LEARNER to 33162 on any day between 29 January and 9 February 2014. (Note: Please have at least R20 airtime in your phone so that you can be able to complete your application, as you may be required to reply more than once).

Sasol CHIETA Artisan Learnerships (Only Matric OR N3 required)

South Africa founded petroleum and chemicals company, Sasol, is inviting applications from South Africans with matric (grade 12) to apply for artisan learnership opportunities currently available at its Secunda and Sasolburg operations. Successful candidates will be trained and development to become qualified artisans. The learnership will focus on training learners in applicable safety standards and core skills related to the specific trade in maintenance and operation of Sasol plants in line with the requirements of Chemical Industries Education and Training Authorities (CHIETA).

Learners will be trained in one of the following careers: Electrical Artisan, Process Artisan, Electro-Mechanic, Fitter, Instrumentation, Welding, Boilermaker, Rigging, Turning, Diesel-Mechanic, and Miner. Therefore when you apply select the career you are interested in.

What are the requirements?

To be considered you have to meet the following minimum requirements:

You must have a Matric / Grade 12 OR an N3 qualification with standard grade Mathematics as a passed subject (NOT Maths Literacy, Applied Maths, Additional Maths, Commercial Maths or Functional Maths);
Must have also passed Physical/ Engineering Science with a minimum of symbol E;
Must have passed English or Business English; and
While previous experience is not a requirement, it will serve as an advantage.
