Sibanye-Stillwater is offering Internship programmes to unemployed Graduates who have obtained a tertiary qualification. Sibanye-Stillwater is committed to the achievement and maintenance of diversity and equity in employment. A limited number of internships are being offered to employees for a full time internship programme in line with the Sibanye-Stillwater business needs. Beneficiaries of the Internship programme will receive a 2-year fixed-term employment contract to obtain post-graduate experience in the Community Engagement and Development Department.

What are the requirements?

In order to be considered, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Degree in Development Studies / Social Sciences/ BA Community Development / or Relevant
  • Have a relevant Degree (and/or higher) when applying for this Internship programme.
  • Only degrees from recognised South-African Universities/ Colleges will be accepted.
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre.

Are you a young South African between the ages of 18 and 35 years? Do you possess any of the qualifications (degree, national diploma or honours) listed in the table far below? Yes? The national Department of Transport is inviting applications from people like you for its 2014 internship programme. There are more than forty opportunities available on the programme, and the internship contract will last for a period of 12-months. The internships will be based at the Department of Transport’s head office in Pretoria.

Main purpose of the job:-
– Work with your line manager to set up and run research projects
– Build a strong day to day working relationship with the operational departments to ensure the smooth running of projects through the department
– Checking research materials
– Learn and apply market research skills
– Learn about your clients’ markets (set up and maintain knowledge files)

Key responsibilities:-
– Setting up of projects under supervision
– Interdepartmental project management
– Questionnaire management
– Preparing fieldwork materials under supervision
– Specking and checking of code frames

– Travel to client meetings as and when required (very occasionally may require overnight trips)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:-
Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 year degree, preferably in Research, marketing, business, economics, social sciences, as well as AAA School of Advertising.

Previous experience of:

  • No previous research experience is required but a passion for brands and advertising is a must, a curiosity as to understand consumer thinking and opinion and a desire to advise clients how to improve their brand’s performance in the market place
  • Previous in-house media planning knowledge / experience

Technical Competencies required:

  • PC literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent English writing and verbal skills
  • Numerical competency
