The Britehouse Digital Internship Programme is a 12 month intensive development programme commencing in February each year. This programme allows you to gain valuable working experience and theoretical training while earning a salary. Job Context

  • A supporting structure of Mentors will guide our Interns through their training by providing help for challenges at work or simply being around for a friendly chat.
  • The Graduate Developer will work in a professional and comfortable work environment where the core focus is on learning, growth, knowledge sharing, teamwork and collaboration.
  • The Graduate Developer will be exposed to all major Microsoft, Mobile & Analytical technologies and excellent training opportunities both internally and externally.
  • This exposure also occurs through the different engagement models being project-based development, placements, outsourced teams and support and enhancement engagements.
  • Upon completion of the programme, successful Interns may have the opportunity of permanent employment within the company based upon their performance during the course of the Internship.

CSIR ICT Service Centre unit has a vacancy for an In-service Trainee/Internship. The incumbent will provide first-line support on business applications to system users, document processes and software, test new software and/or applications to ensure quality products configure software and help out on all projects that involve the applications unit. This position is based in Pretoria.

Key responsibilities:

  • Software troubleshooting.
  • Web applications development and support.
  • Provide support on web applications.
  • Ensure quality service is provided to clients.
  • Support ERP applications and other EBAS applications.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • In-Service Trainee – A matric (Grade 12) certificate with completed two years of a national diploma or Bachelor’s degree in information technology specialising in software or web development.
  • Internship – A national diploma or Bachelor’s degree in information technology specialising in software or web development.
  • Knowledge of the following programming languages would be advantageous: PhP, MySQL and JavaScript.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
