One of South Africa’s leading banking and financial services institutions, Standard Bank, is inviting applications from unemployed young South Africans with a Grade 12 / Matric certificate for its 2016 Shared Services Learnerships. Successful candidates will be appointed on a 12 months contract and will be paid a monthly stipend of R3000 for the duration of the learnership. On successful completion of the learnership, candidates will be awarded a nationally-recognised Further Education and Training Certificate in Banking at NQF Level 4.

What are the requirements?

Standard Bank of South Africa is inviting applications from from unemployed young South Africans with a Grade 12 / Matric qualification to apply for their 2016 Learnerships for Unemployed Matriculants. This Standard Bank 2016 learnerships are open to unemployment young South Africans between the ages of 18 and 30 years. Learners will be required to sign a 12-month learnership contract. Learners will receive a monthly learnership allowance of R3 000 for the duration.

The learnership will entail both classroom and practical training over an 12 months period. On successful completion, learners will receive a nationally-recognised Banking Further Education & Training at NQF level 4.

What are the requirements?

To be considered for this learnership, you have to meet the following qualifications:

Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 30 years old;
Have a completed Grade 12 / Matric qualification;
Have the ability to speak, read and write using the English language;

Standard Bank of South Africa Limited is inviting applications from young South Africans with a Grade 12/Matric qualification with Mathematics OR Computer Science OR a post-matric Information Technology (IT) qualification to apply for their 2015 Java Programming Learnership Programme which will be based at Standard Bank’s operations in Gauteng, South Africa.

Successful candidates will enter into a fixed-term employment contract and a learnership contract for a period of twelve (12) months with Standard Bank. During the period of learnership, learners will be paid a monthly stipend of R3 000 for the first 6 months and R4 500 from the seventh month. On successful completion of the learnership programme learners will receive an NQF Level 5 National Certificate in Information Technology: Systems Development.

2013 Entry Level Learnerships Standard Bank

This learnership programme is targeted at various entry level roles within the Bank countrywide. It is a 12 month programme which allocates successful candidates to various areas in the bank where they will be spending time applying their learning, when they are not formally or informally engaged in training activities.

Successful candidates will be required to sign a 12-month fixed term employment contract as well as a learnership contract. They will not paid a salary but will receive a learner allowance of R3000-00 per month for the duration of the learnership. Upon successful completion candidates will obtain a recognised National Certificate in Banking.

Requirements:

Be between the ages of 18-30
Be able to speak, read and write English
Have completed matric and passed Mathematics or Maths Literacy and/or Accounting with a minimum C symbol on the standard grade
Be computer literate
Not be permanently employed

Standard Bank Operations Learnership 2013

The Operations Learnership programme is a learnership programme targeted at an entry level role within the Corporate Investment Banking Operations area in the Bank. It is a 12 month programme broken down into 3 months of theoretical training followed by 9 months of practical training (workplace-based). Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Banking as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learning’s. This means that at the end of the 12 month programme, learners will receive a National Certificate in Banking (NQF 5).

Successful candidates will be required to sign a fixed term employment contract as well as a learnership contract. They will not be paid a salary but will receive a learner allowance of R3 500 per month.
